Nancy Shafee runs workshops for total beginners and those looking to practice their skills in wetfelting. These are not timetabled but arranged to suit all concerned. Nancy will teach one to one or larger groups in West Horsley, Surrey and larger groups in participants' own venues. Workshops are three and a half hours log (or thereabouts!) and cost includes all materials.

Learn how to use a book resist with a slash/reveal decoration to make a colourful, felt fish. The workshop, delivered by YouTube video, is 6 and a half hours long with a 45 minute introductory session to explain what wool you need to buy, how to prepare your design etc so you are ready to go for the actual workshop.The workshop is suitable for students with some feltmaking experience.

Pleated Felt Scarves with Mandy Nash

Based on Canadian smocking, these techniques do not lend themselves to a real time workshop. Therefore, I have chosen to offer a demonstration where I will explain three different pleating techniques and how to apply them to make scarves. I will record the demonstration for students to refer back to, or watch later, if they cannot attend in person. I will explain how to prepare felt for the pleating, how to create the pleats and finish with various dyeing methods.
