Feb 2026 in Deutsch 10 – 13 h\nGr. 3    Feb 14/15\, 2026 in English 06-09 p.m. CET \nAfter starting with simple\, flat resists for a hollow form we will now go one step further and explore the\npotential of so-called book resists. These provide enormous possibilities of creating more complex 3d\nshapes with multiple segments or objects of higher volume that can be pleated\, turned inside out and\ntransformed into unexspected spatial shapes. For practising\, we will start with a simple 3-pages-version and\nmake a winged seedpod\, then take the challenge of a 5-pages-resist with surprising possibilities for\ntransformation. An eye-opener for further experimenting with book resists and applications of them in\nwearable as well as fine felt art. \nIn my series of workshops we are looking at one theme from different perspectives and focus each time onone special technique. In module I of Hollow forms we will use a simple type of resist\, while in part II we’d explore possibilities of book resists. Part III shows additional effects and transformations that can be achieved with inclusions of prefelts or upcycling old pieces of solid felt.\nIf you like to participate in all 3 classes you can improve and expand your skills\, stepping from simple on to more complex levels and use the weeks in between classes for further practising or experimenting.\n3 parts in a bundle: 375.- € But you may also book only a single class: 139.- €\n(If you take a single class only and decide later to add the other modules\, you will also get the bundle price and pay for the last part only the remaining difference.)

SUMMARY:Lisa Klakulak's 10 week Online Felt Jewelry Series\, Course 1: Foundational Structure
DESCRIPTION:Edition 12 will run February 22- May 3\, 2026 with platform access through July 12\, 2026. Develop an in-depth understanding of foundational structure for refinement\, strength and flexibility in wet felting based on the concept of space for the wool filaments to move and the direction of encouragement by the maker. Multi-dimensional form will be constructed through connecting solid forms\, 2D planes and a variety of felt encased objects within one continuous felt skin and by employing strong clasping/hinging mechanisms. Though needle felting will occasionally be employed this is a wet felting course. Demonstrated module studies are meant to be repeated\, modified and uniquely coalesced to become pathways to approach your ideas and visions through two instructor supported projects via zoom design meetings midway and at the end of this 10 week course. DESCRIPTION:There are 3 groups available\, suitable for different time zones and languages:\nGr. 1  April 09/10\, 2026 in English 08-11 a.m. (CEST\, Berlin time = suitable for Europe\, Australia/NZ)\nGr. 2  April 11/12\, 2026 in Deutsch 10 -13 h\nGr. 3  April 11/12\, 2026 in English 06-09 p.m. (CEST\, Berlin time = suitable for Europe\, America) \nIn this workshop you are going to create fascinating spiraling structures resembling sea shell skeletons. With a couple of resists we will prepare hollow chambers inside the felt and after having prefelted the material to fairly good stability\, these cavities can be opened and unfolded into three-dimensional structures. We’ll take a close look at suitable types of wool\, layering and fiber direction to prepare a durable pre-felt that can withstand cutting and reshaping to create sculptural forms. With further felting\, 3d forms will be clearly modeled and compacted to their final\, stable consistency.\nWelcome and have fun meeting some surprising transformations in felting!\nThose who already took part in the „Diversity“ workshop will enjoy discovering new options.
