SUMMARY:ONLINE – My Favorite Embroidery Stitch Book: Part 1
DESCRIPTION:I have taken all three parts of Annemie’s Favourite Embroidery Stitch Courses. They have been an amazing resource of stitches and inspiration to me during the last two years. Parts 1 and 2 gave me many new stitches and great ways to use them in an imaginative way. During Part 3 we extended our repertoire and added further techniques to our stitching – including free machine stitch and printing images onto fabric or felt and stitching into these. Initially I was not so keen on the machine work\, but I can see the use for this as a base for secondary hand stitch and also as a technique in its own right. The printing images onto fabric and stitching over them was a fun way of recreating old photos and embellishing them – which brought out new memories as I worked on them. I can highly recommend all of Annemie’s stitch courses. Also what I have enjoyed – and I have as a continual resource – are the wonderful videos Annemie has created with her stitch encyclopedia of many of the special stitches we worked with. This I can go back to at any time as a reference. Thank you Annemie. Janine Rees \nA FULL COURSE OF FREE EMBROIDERY ON FELT \nFor anyone who wants to build up from scratch and/or want to delve deeper into the matter.\nPart 1 – 10 lessons\nPart 2 – 7 lessons\nPart 3 – 7 Lessons \nBeginners start with part 1.\nAdvanced students have the opportunity to enter in part 2 or 3. \nThere is a Tutorial for every lesson. SUMMARY:ONLINE – My Favorite Embroidery Stitch Book: Part 2
DESCRIPTION:Hello dear Annemie\,\nHere is my feedback on courses 1 and 2. I learned to embroider at school as a child and have hardly embroidered at all since then. The first course brought back childhood memories and I was just happy. You explain all the embroidery stitches excellently and answer every question very patiently. You share your wonderful wealth of experience with us and teach us how to embroider.\nIn the second part I started to develop my style. This was not only the case with embroidery\, I also found my style and direction in private life. The second part was a wonderful addition to the first part and I couldn’t imagine that it would be as extensive again.\nAs for the tutorials\, they are perfect. It was wonderful that the zoom was saved. The tutorials are very nicely done.\nI also find your website very appealing.\nI’m looking forward to the third part and I’m happy to be there again. You are welcome to use my pictures.\nBest regards\, AnJa Kronberger \nPART 2 – 7 LESSONS \nTHE RECORDINGS AND OR TUTORIALS CAN BE FOLLOWED ON YOUR OWN PACE AT EACH MOMENT. \nYOU CAN ALWAYS CONTACT ME WITH QUESTIONS AND WHEN NECESSARY WE MEET IN ZOOM \nIn this section we will both expand our embroidery knowledge and work in themes. \nThe themes in this part are embroidery from Kyrgyzstan\, appliqué\, relief embroidery on felt. \nWhen you are an experienced embroiderer on felt\, you can also start with part 2.\nThan it is good to look to the informations from Part 1. Contact me than about the book. \nThe planned Zoommeetings are:\n5.15 pm – Amsterdam time\nOCTOBER 18\, 2023 – LESSON 1\nNOVEMBER 1 – LESSON 2\nNOVEMBER 15 – LESSON 3\nNOVEMBER 29 – LESSON 4\nDECEMBER 13 – LESSON 5\nJANUARY 10\, 2024 – LESSON 6\nJANUARY 24 – LESSON 7

SUMMARY:ONLINE – My Favorite Embroidery Stitch Book: Part 3
DESCRIPTION:Dear Annemie\, \nI am very\, very satisfied and happy with your courses and tutorials. What painstaking work to get everything so ready. In the films I can watch you work longer\, they are more detailed\, so to speak\, the tutorials are just great\, like an embroidery manual.\nThe appliqué and couching unit was such a good example of what I’d like to say: work in flow and when I need it\, I look up the tutorials.\nAs a preparation for a lesson\, the tutorials were particularly valuable for me. Since I’m still a beginner in embroidery\, I can prepare myself and it reduces a bit the amount I have to take up at once (I also get more subtleties and “side information”).\nI greet you very warmly\, I am very happy to have found you.\nYou give me the tools for something new that I’ve had in mind for a long time and didn’t dare to try\, Monika Scislowski \nPART 3 – 7 LESSONS \nTHE RECORDINGS AND OR TUTORIALS CAN BE FOLLOWED ON YOUR OWN PACE AT EACH MOMENT. \nYOU CAN ALWAYS CONTACT ME WITH QUESTIONS AND WHEN NECESSARY WE MEET IN ZOOM. \nIn this third part we work in new themes such as: Embrodery d’Art Haute Couture\, embroidery and photography\, free embroidery with the sewing machine\, gold embroidery on felt. \nAnd we will continue to expand our knowledge of embroidery stitches. \nWhen you are an experienced embroiderer on felt\, you can also start with part 2.\nThan it is good to look to the informations from Part 1. Contact me than about the book. \nThe planned zoommeetings are 5.15 pm Amsterdam time\nOCTOBER 19 – LESSON 1\nNOVEMBER 2 – LESSON 2\nNOVEMBER 16 – LESSON 3\nNOVEMBER 30 – LESSON 4\nDECEMBER 14 – LESSON 5\nJANUARY 11\, 2024 – LESSON 6\nJANUARY 25 – LESSON 7

SUMMARY:Stylized Giraffe – Needle Felting by Stephanie Lester
DESCRIPTION:You will create a Stylised Giraffe in your own time. \nThe length of the course is the equivalent of an intensive weekend workshop. \nThis course is designed to take your skills beyond prescribed kits\, so that you can start to create your own designs or at least add your own features to a pattern. If you are a beginner it is still possible to follow but I would advise watching the videos first and then joining in. \nI show you each step of the creation process\, talking you through what I am doing and why\, plus adding in tips to help you with this and other projects. \nThe workshop is videod in a combination of overhead and straight-on so that you do not miss a thing. There are downloadable pdf’s of the template to follow and a full fibre list whether you want to use wool or plant based fibres. \nOn-line

SUMMARY:GLADYS PAULUS: SAMPLES: A LIBRARY OF IDEAS 5 days workshop October 03 to 07\, 2024
DESCRIPTION:During this workshop\, you will make a series of 2-D felt pieces from which small samples (approximately 15 x 15cm) are selected. These will form the jumping off point for a deeper exploration of felt making techniques and effects\, as well as contrast and composition\, and become the basis for a very personal line of inquiry. This workshop is not about achieving a particular outcome\, but rather about the joy of responding in the moment and learning through play\, trial and “error”. It is intended to give you the freedom and time to explore\, experiment that is so often lacking in our daily life\, and to deepen your understanding of the medium. You will develop the beginnings of a reference library of techniques and ideas to enable future projects\, which can continue to grow at home. A wide range of materials may be incorporated into the samples\, and you will be encouraged to think outside the box.

Another important aspect\nare combination of materials and well planned fiber direction to achieve a beautiful natural shape and\nsufficient stability for the pitchers to stand upright. SUMMARY:N° 25/05 Sculptural wallhanging – fossil leaf\, Online workshop with Dagmar Binder
DESCRIPTION:There’s 3 groups available\, for different time zones and languages:\nGr. 1 May 08/09\, 2025 in English 08-11 a.m. CEST\nGr. 2 May 10/11\, 2025 in German 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. CEST\nGr. 3 May 10/11\, 2025 in English 06-09 p.m. CEST \nIn this workshop I’d like to introduce another way of creating an impressive structure for a sculptural\nwallhanging. This time we’d assemble a group of hollow chambers and incorporate them in a larger\nitem. They can be opened later and manipulated manually to form an organic seamless felt object.\nThe silhouette of the sculpture will only arise from the arrangement of all individual parts.\nWe’d pay special attention to fiber combination and directions to connect all parts securly and\nprepare the material for specific shaping and deformations. With a well planned use of color through\nall layers we can even increase the dimensional effect.\nAs an example I developed this fossil leaf project for you. It will allow us to discuss and practise all\nworking steps included and enable you to apply the technique to a variety of individual felt works in\nthe future.

SUMMARY:Lisa Klakulak’s 10 week Online Felt Jewelry Series\, Course 1: Foundational Structure
DESCRIPTION:Edition 10 will run May 11- July 20 with platform access through September 28\, 2025. Develop an in-depth understanding of foundational structure for refinement\, strength and flexibility in wet felting based on the concept of space for the wool filaments to move and the direction of encouragement by the maker. Multi-dimensional form will be constructed through connecting solid forms\, 2D planes and a variety of felt encased objects within one continuous felt skin and by employing strong clasping/hinging mechanisms. Though needle felting will occasionally be employed this is a wet felting course. Demonstrated module studies are meant to be repeated\, modified and uniquely coalesced to become pathways to approach your ideas and visions through two instructor supported projects via zoom design meetings midway and at the end of this 10 week course. Images of module studies and projects created by prior course participants are viewable at https://strongfelt.com/online-coursework/ as well as more specific details regarding this course\nMax 15 participants. Nearly 10 hrs of video + 40 pages of printable PDF.

SUMMARY:Video Tutorial DAHLIA
DESCRIPTION:Video Tutorial Dahlia\nWet Felting\nLanguage: English\nInstant download\, you can felt it anytime \n– In this video tutorial I show and explain how to make the Dahlia pillow. Beginners can easily felt this pillow thanks to the detailed step-by-step videos. Advanced users will learn the dahlia technique\, which you can use not only in a pillow\, but also in other felt objects such as lamps\, bags\, wall decorations\, etc. \n– You will learn what you have to make so\, that the dahlia segments are sharp and exactly\, and I will tell you tipps and tricks\, for example how to visibly define the cutting lines of the segments in the wet felt without having to mark them. \n– You can see all the stages of felting and the tools I use. \n– The video tutorial takes 3.5 hours and is divided into 17 chapters. Each chapter is between 6 and 20 minutes. \n– The video camera is positioned at the top parallel to the worktable\, which means that you see everything as if you were standing at the table and felting it yourself.\n⠀\n– As a bonus\, you get an extra video about the pillow Magnolia\, which is made using the same technique as the pillow Dahlia. \n– The video tutorial is available in my Etsy shop\nhttps://www.etsy.com/de/shop/ilorieFilzdesign

SUMMARY:N° 25/06.1 DIVERSITY - Discovering new species in felt\, Online workshop with Dagmar Binder
DESCRIPTION:Unfortunately we had to cancel the in-person-workshop planned with Fiberfusing in the Netherlands. Following the urgent request of a student who was very eager to learn the technique\, I decided to respond spontaneously to the situation and make this workshop available on the same weekend\, June 14 and 15\, in my usual\, slightly shorter online version. This might be a consolation and chance for those who subcribed for and now cannot attend an in-person-class and maybe also for some more interested students. Go ahead and send an email for enrolment! \n25/06.1 Diversity – discovering new species in felt / Artenvielfalt in Filz entdecken (139 €) \nGr. 1 June 12/13\, 2025 in English 08-11 a.m. (CEST\, Berlin time = suitable for Europe\, Australia/NZ)\nGr. 2 Juni 14/15\, 2025 in Deutsch 10 -13 h\nGr. 3 June 14/15\, 2025 in English 06-09 p.m. (CEST\, Berlin time = suitable for Europe\, America) \nGRANDE FINALE show-and-tell / Abschlusstreffen June 19\, 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. \nExperimenting and playing is a very important part of the creative process and implies an incredible potential for new discoveries and creative solutions. It is a rich source for learning more about our soft sculptural material\, wool\, and techniques we can use to transform it into a piece of art.\nIn this workshop we will take off for an exiting expedition: use only one type of resists\, assemble them into a series of hollow chambers and explore different possibilities to develop felt objects from this starting point. How far can we go with them? With changing positions of resists\, different ways of cutting\, shrinking and transforming we can create an amazing variety of forms. Of course\, we will take care to prepare a durable fibre combination in our layout that is made to survive all these experiments in good shape!\nCutting into the felted structure in particular\, opens up new insights and perspectives. It often exposes inner parts of the object and/or layers in the cuts and allows interesting 3-dimensional shapes to unfold.
