Create Dramatic wet-felted Portraits using your own Images

This workshop has been taught by Chris all over the world, including at the Felter’s Convergence in Australia, the IFA AGM and at the recent Wool Week in Norway.
It is over 3 years since Chris taught this in the UK, so we thought we’d offer another opportunity for newer members and those that haven’t done this technique, as well as those who’d like to repeat the workshop. This particular workshop is for two days, using monochrome techniques.
It is possible to work in a mixture of fleece types using natural colours, or to use dyed fibres (e.g merino). You will be able to make an A3-sized portrait (or slightly larger) in two days, based upon an image that you will supply to Chris in advance, in order for her to do the digital manipulation for the technique. You can use old photos or online images, it can be friends and family, animals, or famous faces. Later on, the method is applicable to other subject matter, if you wish to pursue it further.
This is a wet-felting technique, specially-developed by Chris to enable you to make something uniquely personal, without needing drawing ability. Past students have created family heirlooms, memorials, and unique gifts during this workshop.
