Design and create a unique wool felt jacket or coat for any occasion
A bespoke piece, whether it is a jacket or a coat, is designed with the unique body of a woman in mind. Imagine wearing a piece of clothing that is exclusively tailored to your body shape and suits
you to perfection.
In this workshop, you will learn how to design and make your own wool felt coat or jacket without any seams. Using standard dress making techniques, you will create a pattern that is tailored to your
exact body shape.
DA Y 1: Theoretical lesson on sewing and production of dress making patterns. Resist felting technique
– creation of a resist template: overview of one of the techniques used for felt clothing. Wide
choice of collars, sleeves, pockets, lengths and widths available to match the figure of each participant.
During the production of one or several patterns, you will have the chance to think about your
own individual design. Drawing up the design.
DA Y 2: Taking of measurements, making of each individual resist template. Production of flat felt
using wet felting technique.
DA Y 3 & 4: Making of the jacket or coat.
DA Y 5: Finishing touches.
