4 Day Workshop October 25 to October 28: Felted Collage Design
In this workshop we will cover the potential of multi-coloured pre-felts with the
addition of dyed or printed fabrics and non-wool fibres (if desired) to build up a
‘collaged’ or layered design, which can also incorporate elements of stitch. We will
cover techniques for making pre-felts and explore their potential, through cutting and
layering of shapes to build up a design.
3 day Workshop October 30 to November 1rst 2020 for a training about Cyanotype Images for Textile Artists: Learn the fundamentals of Cyanotype, a photographic process invented in 1842 by Sir John Herschel. Also known as Blueprint, this process works well as a method of directly creating
well-defined images on natural fabrics using plants, found objects or digital negatives. The
process and chemicals used are safe to handle and images can be successfully produced in a
basic studio environment.
