Artwork 1 Title: Hats off to Beach Rocks  Seen on Beach Walks

Materials and Techniques: Bergschaf, and Merino wool, wool locks, silk and vegetable fibres, merino prefelt, silk fabric pieces, handspun wool yarn. Wet felted over resist.

I am preparing for a show in June around the theme of beaches. Inspired by the sea smoothed rocks on the beach in Whitley Bay, U.K, I had created two “beach rock” vessels so it seemed possible to extend the idea into a hat.
