Inspiration: This artwork explores the vital and complex relationship between Australia’s land and water, emphasizing the crucial role water plays in survival. The piece captures the contrast between abundance and scarcity, highlighting how water transforms the landscape and the way people live. During times of plenty, rivers flow and billabongs brim, symbolizing a period of tranquility, uncertainty of survival. Through this contrast, the artwork conveys both the dependency on water and the power it holds over life in Australia, underscoring the deep bond between the land and its people.
