Pennine Landscape 2

These three finely layered felts each depict the same moorland and sky view, in different weather conditions and seasons, that I gaze on every day from my window. The local moorland landscape with its constantly changing hues and atmospheric skies has become a seemingly endless source of inspiration to me. So this first felt, ‘Pennine Landscape 2’, attempts to capture  a late summer light shower on the hills.

The second felt , ‘Pennine Sky 5’, attempts to depict the same view with a spring shower over the hills.

Pennine Sky 6

The third felt, ‘Pennine Sky 6’, attempts to depict the same view again with a late afternoon sunset in mid-winter.
