Title: Souvenirs

Materials and Techniques: Pre felts collaged and felted into a single piece of felt using Merino wool and some fabric. This was then embellished with stitch, a little more fabric, sequins and shisha mirrors.

Inspiration: Souvenirs provide a connection to our travel experiences and enable us to recall particular moments. This was inspired by a photograph I took whilst in India. I wanted to express the chaotic, vibrant, shiny vision of the souvenir stall outside a temple. I didn’t buy anything, but this piece of work connects me with that wonderful evening.
