The Forest Floor

Merino wool, dyed scrim, twigs and moss, pearl cotton and crochet wool, were used.  When the felt was partially felted I tied some marbles and stones to the underneath of the piece and steamed it, which created raised sections. Spiderwebs were executed on some. Leaves were cut out of another piece of felt, adorned with stem stitches and then added. Grasses were crocheted in wool.
