Inspiration for this work came from the natural environment surrounding me in south west western Australia. The Banksia is a keystone plant species found in heathlands and woodlands comprising principally of Eucalyptus trees. Banksia woodlands form a vital habitat for many threatened fauna species such as cockatoos and possums.
