Ann Baseden 2023

The picture is my  interpretation of a photograph which I took of a view in Devon when visiting for the first time some years ago.  The horse was incidental at the time but became the focus of the composition.  What appears at first sight to be sky is in fact even more hills in the far distance.

Various fibres – mainly merino, hand blended to create palette; various yarns.  Techniques include wet felting, needle felting and various embroidery stitches.   The horse was felted (both wet and needle) separately and added after the landscape was completed.
