It can be anything from how to store fleeces, to how to make a fabulous felt bag, something for beginners or something for the professional feltmaker. If you have any ideas we'd love to hear from you and have arranged with the Halifax Spinning Company to supply a bag of fibre processed in Yorkshire to the member offering our favourite idea for each issue of Felt Matters. Entries should be between 150 and 300 words.

International Path of Artworks in Felt in Tesimo, South Tyrol

All the works in The International Path of Artworks in Felt in Tesimo have been renewed through a public competition.

Following initial selection, 30 artists were all supplied with wool from the local South Tyrol Mountain Sheep which was transformed into the felt artworks. The artists were from Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, the Netherlands, South Africa, USA and Taiwan.

All their creations can be admired along the International Path of Artworks in Felt on the "Vorbichl" in Tesimo, South Tyrol.

The American Craft Council recently honoured feltmaker Lisa Klakulak from North Carolina whose "incredible range of works in felt blew away the jurors". Lisa makes wearable textiles, accessories, felt for the wall (framed mirrors and compositions) and non-functional sculpture. The Climate is Changing! is a touring exhibition of felt textile art organised by the International Feltmakers Association, Filz-Netzwerk e.V (Germany) and Coordinamento Tessitori (Italy). The exhibiton opened at the Museum in Prato, Italy in May 2010 and is currently touring the UK.
