Subject :National Trust Properties open today for free - great for researching historical felt?

Just noticed free day - we are near Berrington Hall which has a good costume collection, worth asking curators if they have other archived materials - its free so worth a sunny afternoon pop in to ask! Or a great excuse to have a lovely walk in gorgeous grounds - maybe with some fleece in your wellies?
