We (region 7) have had a phenomenal response from IFA members who want to attend a workshop with Marietta Alker. So much so that we have arranged a second day for her to repeat her workshop. We can now offer places to non-members.

"Marietta (feltmaker from the Welsh Marches) will guide us to move beyond the basics of a plain 3d resist to make seamless felt. You will be shown how to sculpt and create texture in your felt using unusually shaped resists, creating folds, pleats, channels and more.  The outcome of the workshop will be an individually designed hat or vessel."

There are now two dates to choose from

• Saturday 4th September
• Sunday 5th September 2010

Both workshops will be held in Bury St Edmunds. IFA members £31, non-members £36

Places will be allocated on a strictly first come first served basis.

Region 9 is pleased to host this inspiring workshop run by Jenny Compton.
