Taking the Waters

Rich in Roman and Georgian heritage, Bath has been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and is packed with places to visit, including a number of outstanding examples of Georgian architecture and of course, the famous Roman baths.

Should you wish to extend your visit to the IFA AGM & Conference there are plenty of places to visit, including:

  • The Royal Crescent, The Circus, Pump Room and Pulteney Bridge for lovers of Georgian architecture.
  • The Roman Baths, one of Europe's finest ancient monuments, which gives an excellent flavour of a key aspect of Roman life, centred on the natural hot springs. The Thermae Bath Spa has revived this 2,000-year old tradition and Bath is a fully fledged spa city once again.
  • Museums include The Fashion Museum; The American Museum in Britain; The Holburne Museum; The Museum of East Asian Art; The Herschel Museum of Astronomy;
  • 15th-century Bath Abbey; Theatre Royal, Bath; walking tours; river cruises plus much more.
